Hi all
I'm about to drop videotron in favour of either Teksavvy or Ebox. Teksavvy has a nice 30$ plan, 150 GB, 10/1.5 Mbps, off peak unlimited download and all times unlimited upload.
I'm using OOMA as my primary phone.
Teksavvy seems the way to go, however, I'm worried about some of the posts I've read about their link with Videotron having been congested a couple of times before upgrade (poor planning?), to become worse with unlimited upload?. As I don't want my Internet slowing down to a crawl, and my phone giving me problems (my wife wouldn't be happy), I'm a bit worried about Teksavvy. Maybe I shouldn't.. maybe the phone would be unaffected?
On the other hand, I read a lot of positive stuff (good reviews) on Ebox, but their budget plan is less attractive : 100GB and 31.95 (no unlimited upload and off peak hours).
Ebox has 75GB 5$ blocks you can buy, not Teksavvy. Their 20/10 Mpbs plan at 150GB is the same price as Teksavvy, except the off peak hours and unlimited UL.
I'm located in eastern QC. I don't know if that makes a difference. My cabling is excellent, and have good service with Videotron (except price and caps of course...).
Anyone care to give me advice? Thanks.
