Laptop suggestions with a

Well my gf is needing a new laptop to replace her macbook pro with that is overheating. Shes in a business program which requires windows based computing. Anyways I said I would set out to find a laptop for $500 or less that has the following:

13 or 14inch lcd
Decent keyboard
Great Battery Life
Great Build Quality

She doesnt game but would like to have hdmi and what not output to her tv

Anyways I contacted my computer manager at work about this and he offered me 2 different systems both at 500
