my case has two 230mm fans that are running at full speed right now, and the area around it is getting pretty chilly. my CPU ain't complaining though, since it's getting temps in the mid 50's even under full load (2nd gen i7). either way, i need to get the fan speeds under control.
i noticed that my motherboard has a couple of 4-pin fan sockets, but plugging in my 3-pin fans isn't going to help much since they'll run at full speed without the 4th pin. aren't there any fan controllers out there that will somehow connect to the 4-pin socket and then control the 3-pin fans from there? the ones i've looked at so far all have manual controls.
