Deep Scratch on Tablet

Greetings Everyone!

I recently bought a samsung galaxy tablet. 7.0. I really like it as it does everything I need it to do. However, while waiting for the screen guard to arrive, I somehow got a scratch in the middle of the screen. Could someone please give me some advice on how to fix this?

I have just applied a screen guard in hopes that it would remove it, but it hasn't. I can live with it, but if I could remove it or lessen it, I'd be so very grateful!
