I'm looking for some input and user experience to help me with my decision making. Some background; at present I don't have a smartphone or tablet, and don't really want to be paying for a cellphone contract - I'm on a 7-11 speakout plan, and I don't really want to pay more - I use about $125/yr in talk time. I'm not even sure if I need another device, but I've convinced myself that I could be more efficient with my time if I had a device that I could use for taking pictures while shopping (I'm often snapping pics on my dumb phone while at costco and ikea to add to my idea list), checking prices while shopping, keeping me organized, etc. My challenge is that I don't even know where to start. I already have a desktop, notebook, netbook that fill various functions, but I'm not quite sure where to start to determine which phablet/tablet would best suit me. I'm stuck between the portability of the phablet and the useability of the tablet.
So my question is what phablet/tablet do you have, and how has it improved your life?
