I recently bought this app from the Google Play Store:
imediashare
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...1zcHJlbWl1bSJd

But when I try to detect any DLNA compliant devices, only my Denon 2112CI gets detected. I have a HTPC running Windows Server 2008 R2 but this is not detected by the android app (likely because it is not DLNA compliant).

I installed the free version of serviio and it says the DLNA server is running, yet I cannot detect the HTPC either

I believe Windows 7 would be DLNA compliant right from the get go.

I'm sure I'm doing many things wrong. I know my LG TV has network connectivity but not sure if I can stream what's on my phone directly to my LG Infinia which accordingly is DLNA certified:

http://certification.dlna.org/certs/REG06606521.pdf

I don't have a PS3, xbox or WD live which I know can pick up the signal and project on the TV.

All I want is to be able to mirror on my HTPC or LG TV what is showing on my smartphone through imediashare.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT:
installed xmbc, and in the network settings, enabled upnp.

android apps like imediashare and tonky beam was able to detect the xmbc instance and beam the video onto my TV.
